I liked the story, true or false.
Yep...going to try this one VERY soon....I have asked him already and he said he will most likely do it. @B P Maniac Shooter
Already getting that video in motion.
Looking for smaller jaw breakers or other hard candy now...
You can use jolly ranchers just like they used square chunks of lead in the early guns.Already getting that video in motion.

Yup, if RFK gets to HHS it will be declared toxic for sure.Don't give California any idea on new NO-TOXIC projectiles!
"REAL" jawbreakers aren't hollow and don't have gum in them. Now if it was solid "sour ball" I might believe it but 30 yards with a hollow jaw breaker is blowing bubbles IMHO. Something to think about trying with the .69 smoothbore next time I get it out.
Hey do you remember those root-beer barrel penny candies? They'd have a little more mass to them...Already getting that video in motion.

granted it was the last century, and almost the one before that when i last had a jaw breaker, but my memory is that they were solid to the core and probably weighed 180 grains. now i have to find some! Now if it was solid "sour ball" I might believe it but 30 yards with a hollow jaw breaker is blowing bubbles IMHO. Thanks.....I'm going to put something together one day next week.

Smarties might work. Use a cushion wad under them to keep from making dust. Like having buckshot.Thanks.....I'm going to put something together one day next week.

The solid red "Atomic Fireball" I remember from the 50-60s would make a pretty good projectile. Those babies were HOT and turned white when the red outer coating was gone."REAL" jawbreakers aren't hollow and don't have gum in them.
I remember getting the "normal size" hard jawbreakers out of the penny machines but the solid large ones were a nickel and you couldn't bite through them until they were about half the size of a small jawbreaker! Remembering how hard those jawbreakers is just enough experience to wonder it they would work in a pinch....I'm thinking it would be way to large a spread at 30-yards, or was he using just one single large jawbreaker?
We used to make our own atomic fireball in Lawrence County TN back in the eighties. It came in mason jars though...The solid red "Atomic Fireball" I remember from the 50-60s would make a pretty good projectile. Those babies were HOT and turned white when the red outer coating was gone.
