I just traded some rifle parts, barrels, stock, etc, for this little "Rugrat" .45 rifle built by Mike Lange. He builds a lot of guns for youngsters and I liked this one. I'm rugrat size and this one fit me perfectly. Just thought I'd post it and see if anyone wanted to comment...and NO, it's not representative of any particular gun; but ain't it nice?

Is it the photo or is that a thick barrel for a 45?
Could just be that it's in the Rugrat stock and my perception is off.
That said; I like it  Spent this AM out with my .32, go shoot that thing!

Actually the barrel is quite heavy; I'm guessing 15/16" or close to that - 25" x .45. He really didn't know the provenance of the barrel but the bore is immaculate. The heavy barrel gives just the right amount of heft. It's a fun gun and should do well in the squirrel or deer woods. It cansometimes be an advantage being a squirt.

That's a nice looking rifle. That size rifle is perfect for me too, that's why I like my Seneca. I'm suprised, not to see more like that, when you consider the price, that a Seneca will bring.

The first thing I noticed was that it reminded me of a T/C Seneca. Mike specializes in these type guns though he builds other very nice guns. Yep, it's hard to find little guns like these. I consider myself lucky; and I've always admired Mikes work.

Nice looking gun. Let us know how it performs.
I'm waiting for my TC Cherokee 45 to arrive. Like you I'm going to smaller, lighter, and cheaper to shoot.

hanshi,
would you mind sharing info on contacting Mike Lange? That little "rugrats" looks very much like something I would like, only in a .36
thanks
