something to cast small spheres of lead in the general vicinity of grouse brains, something to entertain friends and family with shooting milk jugs.......
 
That'd be a noble calling for any smokepole, specially one by yer own hand. Grouse is without a doubt the best eatin birdie on planet.....Tom
 
Amen to that, we scarf down a couple hundred (or more)a year here. My favorite hunting, take a day of ruffies over any other game. Nothing like coming home with a tired family and 40 (mostly) well shot ruffies and having the kids do ALL the cleaing and buthcering and packing. Nothing beats grouse!
 
THAT does it, I'm moving to Canada....Limit in WA. OR. is THREE....200 a year, died & gone to heaven.
