New to Muzzleloader, but have been reading and watching different posts. Have purchased several items from different members all sales were top notch and as advertised. So far all good. Also great information on all m/l subjects.
Probably want to post those questions out in the “General Muzzleloading” area.I am very new and am getting confused about which powder or pellets are best to use with my tyron Pedersoli rifle and Pietta 1851navy colt need advice on what works best and is available. I also have a 45 cal. tennessee long rile coming from an estate sale please advise

Now, mmmmm there`s a can of worms, I will side black powder in black powder firearms is best, However it is hard for me to find so I have to cheat I use 777 Pellets in my rifles and Pyrodex loose for my revolvers and Kentucky Style Pistol. They are fine to use. Pyrodex has a little more power so it is suggested to cut the load by 10%, but if you truly work the load like black powder you might find like for my Kentucky Pistol 25 grains awesome where as most black powder some prefer 35-40 grains. For me there is only one wrong, not working your load, with whatever you plan to use. And I have done both black powder and pyrodex loads written down and stored.I am very new and am getting confused about which powder or pellets are best to use with my tyron Pedersoli rifle and Pietta 1851navy colt need advice on what works best and is available.
