Hey wait just one moment...I work for the government and that is just about how we do it except that there needs to be a comitiee to see if in fact the light bulb in question really needs to be changed, then a bid process needs to be developed to determine where to purchase the light bulbs and do no forget the lawyers drawing up the contract to purchase the light bulb from the lowest bidder. there is the posibility that a Union action my occour as the county electriction will file a greivance with the union because a comitiee determined if the light bulb was actully burned out rather than the electricion. Me, too!

I have often pondered "Is this a Forum, or an Again'em?" People just like to cause a stir. It provokes interesting conversation, mostly. Sometimes starts a fight. Oh well.....we are strange creatures. Amongst all the bickering, I have learned a lot here. Developed a like for some and, Oh well, You know.....
Idaho PRB :peace:

In my younger days, I was a master electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Las Vegas. During that time I "repaired" many lighting implements. Those types include: Incadescents, Flourescents, and Neons. This is the correct termonology as I recall.

There are only three proper ways to replace these implements, however, due to Intelectual Properties held by the union, I can not divulge these. I'd spent 4 years in an apprenticeship learning how to do it correctly. :youcrazy:

Where's the best place to buy bulbs and such, I think i'd like to try doing it myself.

I work for the Government also and this post offends me. I demand to see my EEO agent.
Everybody knows a contractor changes all light bulbs. Only the lowest bidder need apply.

Lightbulbs, hummmph!

We use fireflies in a jar here in the Muskethouse...

Nothing like some natural bioluminescence to brighten your night...

Er....ah...hey Guys...you're all in the dark ages....something new on the market...called "Dark Suckers". How it works is..it looks like the old style light bulb but works differently..you flip the switch and it starts sucking up the dark. After the bulb is full you discard it.....
