Helo friends, I was wondering if someone could direct me to a good source for pietta 1860 parts, I've been to ebay and found all the sellers think there selling gold.

Best deal around is at Cabelas. All of the internal parts including hammer and trigger and mainspring for 35 bucks.

That is one heck of a deal and if I owned one of these revolvers, I would buy a set for future use.

For all other parts, I would go straight to Taylors and Company both because they are the main U.S. Importers and because of the folks who run the business. Sue Hawkins is an old friend of mine, who ran EuroArms until she could no longer stand their Italian Representative in the U.S. Sue and her daughter Tammy are great folks and great folks to deal with.

Thanks everyone, I have looked at all your suggested sites and found better prices than those scalpers have on ebay.
The whole idea, I used to think about ebay, was that you could find a deal on the item you were looking for at a lower price, now you can find it cheaper if you shop else where.

I finally gave up on the trigger in a Pietta 60 and made my own out of O-1 tool steel.
The factory steel would just not hold the fine edge I needed for a good match trigger even after three attempts with Kasnite to harden it. The case was so shallow that by the time I got it stoned to fit properly it was cut back into soft steel again.

If you want a good trigger, you'll need to thin the trigger spring just a little. I got mine a little too thin and now it has a "hair" trigger. I also modified the main spring and cut the middle out of it like I saw on the Wolf springs. I just used a cut off wheel in my dremel tool and removed the center of the mainspring and compared it to the Wolf mainspring and it works great. It will still pop a cap and is not so hard to pull the hammer back. I will have to get another spring for the trigger as it is a tri-spring. I'll just have to remember not to thin it too much.
