Top notch craftsmanship. Really beautiful, how are bands attached?I like to make a different style of horn every now and then. The Southern banded horn was made generally in the southeastern states. I don't have a lathe to turn the spout end or the base plug but that's ok since some banded horns were made without the turnings. Thanks for the kind comments. I heat the bands in boiling water, then slide them onto the horn. when they cool, they shrink slightly and grip the horn tightly. I then drill 4 holes around the band and 4 wooden pegs are then tapped into the holes to make the connection permanent.Top notch craftsmanship. Really beautiful, how are bands attached?
