I wanted to show off two of my bayonets; one is old and one is new.

The top one is new and sold by Veteran Arms and the bottom one came from Afghanistan attached to a musket I purchased there about ten years ago.

Cool!

I think bayonets are under-rated. They can actually be a very useful accessory:

1. Candle holder, as long as you are out of the wind.

2. Skewer for roasting meat over the campfire.

3. Ramrod holder, if you are loading and shooting multiple rounds from a single position. Push the bayonet point into the ground a few inches and stand your ramrod in the socket for easy retrieval.

Best regards,

Notchy Bob
