For sale

Lock and tang are dated 1854, rifling is good, all original parts and hardware.

Asking $1,800, I’ll pay for shipping in the lower 48.

I am open to trades - Flintlock Longarms, 1842 Springfield Smoothbores, 1861 Springfields

Have you ever fired this Springfield 1842 rifled musket?
I have on a few occasions.

If I can recall correctly I used .65 diameter minies and they were 750 grains with 70 grains of FF powder down the barrel.

No issues, kicked just a bit more then my M1 Garand.

I can’t recall if I bought them from Dixie or Track of the Wolf
