What’s a fair price for original 1863.

Is that a new stock or a heavily sanded original?

The metal condition and the stock condition do not jive.

Lock looks much newer than the barrel.

I'd say no more than 700-800.

A defarb is a modern repop that has been massaged and altered to look like an original. Usually the manufacturer's markings have been transferred to underneath the barrel, but not always. And if so, of course the bore is "mint"

Agree with @dave951. It’s just too clean for that vintage.

It makes sense a guy that has them is selling them to help someones family. The sharps I got I knew they were no original I got a Lyman 54 cal and some pistols. I should have know by condition of the bore. When you look at a big collection you get overwhelmed. Especially if you don’t know much about civil war stuff.

Yes most of the guns were never fired he has all the stuff to shoot them all brand new. I never seen so much black powder stuff it was all brand new.He had gun kits too. I got this kit.

With many new repops in the $1k+ range, I could see it in that $8-900 range. Just because it's been defarbed doesn't add to the value. In some eyes, it detracts. In the N-SSA, shooter grade originals aren't too much more than a new repop.

I got it and a Armi 69 caliber Springfield with bayonet for $1700 you guy where right about 1863 I would of over payed for it thanks for taking your time to help.

yes they even mess with the screws. No numbers under stock.
