Are you going to take a specific gravity measurement? I'd love to know the alcohol level if you do.

LD,
not to offend ANY of my American bretheren, but I heartily agree with you. Spent two and a half years in Germany and drank many a pint/liter of true beer/ale/lager/pilsner etc.

We are having a wonderful beer revolution here with many micro breweries popping up all over with some fantastic libations.

Miss John Courage tho' cannot get it locally. Shame, really a shame.

Cheers, DonK

PS, from a true beer snob.... :v

Dave, Dave, my dear UK friend, what you call American swill we call "lawn-mowing beer," and properly so.
The down side is that it is thin, watery and without much character. The up side is that after your first four pints of Guinness, a couple of Busch Lights will leave you feeling much less full and over time, not nearly so obese, owing to the reduced caloric intake ...

Swampy, eagerly awaiting your report!

My Cuz was down from Vermont a week or so ago and had to get into my Cyser. While we were he talked me into taste testing this Spruce beer even though I tried to tell him it was much to soon...well we both pretty much at the same time said it tasted like old shoe leather. :haha: Not that either of us know what old shoe leather tastes like to begin with....we'll see what it is like at 6 months.

And just for your drinking pleasure, Guinness, while a better beer is not that much more than Miller (barf) Lite.

Miller Lite, 4.2% alcohol, 96 calories and 3.2 carbs

Guinness 7.5 % 175 calories and 10 carbs
As a diabetic I can have one. OH YEAH......

Cheers, DonK
