Congratulations!! That is NICE!!! Would you mind sharing what finish you used on the wood? I really like the darker stain (aquafortis?) without too much gloss over it.
Oh! and some more pics wouldn't hurt anything!

Man! I have to STOP clicking on these posts. Until 10 seconds ago, I was happy with my crocket .32 :(

That is a beautiful rifle  though you might want to take only a few round balls into the woods with you ..........Once in the woods with that rifle :idunno: being out of ammo might be the only reason to ever go home

The stain is aquafortis and then I use linseed oil not the boiled from the hardware store but the real stuff you get at a craft store then cut it with turpentine and a little japan dryer. I wish I did take more pics of it but now it is boxed up and waiting to be shipped to its new owner

Well if anyone wants to see my squirrel rifle you are looking at it. Now all I have to do is wait for the mailman to get my hands on it. And some warm days to get rid of the snow at our shooting range as there is about 2 feet on the half mile road to it.

I am one happy camper. Thanks Steve.

Dave

WOW! You do really nice work. Nothing shiny or fancy, just naturally beautiful.

And Dave, when you get your rifle, could you share a few pics of the rest of it, for those of us who are not so fortunate?
