Has anyone bought or seen the squirrel rifle kits in .32 caliber on the first page of the Deer Creek Products catalog? If so, what are they like as far as the quality, round or octagon barrel etc.? Also they list 3 squirrel rifles,A Traditions Deerhunter in .32 for $179, a Black Squirrel for $149 and A CVA in .36 for $159. If anyone has one, What do you think of it. Thanks--- Jim

they're CVA kits, pretty easy to put together, not bad little squirrel rifles.

I bought the CVA .36 for my son. It looks alot like their Bobcat rifle with a wood stock. Its a good basic little shooter, very accurate, but it does have a bit of a short trigger pull. Ours came with a metal ramrod.

My package just got here today with a finished .36 for the BossLady, and a kit .32 for the kid. Like has been said, they are CVAs so fairly basic, but look very functional. The finished rifle has good fit and the wood and metal finishes both look good. Both rifles have fixed iron sights. The kit, well, this one will be more work than my CVA Hawken kit was. First off, the barrel has no finish on it. The wood needs the customary sanding and finishing, and in my case, cutting down to fit a young girl. Brass needs sanding/filing to fit. Like both, and cant wait to get going on the kit, but Just got home less than an hour ago and found the package so I cant give a range repost, and wont be able to for quite some time.

Hope that helps some.

Deer Creek Products Phone # 765-525-6181 Just call and they will send a catalog out shortly.

Have both 32 and 36 CVA Squirrels, not kits but early factory rifles. They are great little rifles to start out with, so should be a good choice to consider.

Deer Creek doesn't have a website that I know of. The catalog is kinda cheesy but the prices are good and they're good folks too. Give 'em a call. Sometimes you gotta be persistent to get though but it's worth it.

Is this the same outfit that had mowery kits???
Suppose they're gone???
I knew I should've jumped when the jumpin was good.
