that looks like a really nice stock. I did alot of resurch on wood (particularly figured maples) and found that this kind of figuring is becoming more and more rare as the old growth trees are being cut. It seems the trees that are being planted now will not create woods like this because they are all hibreds that are ment to grow fast. What creates the figuring in the wood is the compresion of the grain by hundreds of years of growth and the extreem weight of the trees. :m2c:
