Starr Carbine Hammer?

Can anyone tell me where to get a replacement hammer for my original Starr Carbine. I have tried "The Rifle Shop". They are great people, but have not had them forged for a year and are still waiting. Sooooo I have decided to look elsewhere. Would like to shoot it this winter sometime. After I get The Hammer I will be looking for some advice from you guys. I will post a picture of the carbine when I get back home. The rifling on this is like new and I believe the gas seal will be fine. This is a great forum and I don't think anyone would have to join any other forums to get what they need.

Try Lodgewood Manufacturing of Whitewater, WI or else S and S Firearms of Glendale, NY. Google their names for website addresses. If anyone would have a Starr hammer, they would.

Just wanted you guys to know taht I got my hammer today and I am so excited I could (well you know). I will post pics when I get it fitted and prepped. Thanks for the tip. MIke
