You might remember my post about a long tang on my SMR. Well I got started. So far so good. Knock on wood.
Here's a couple pics. I've got the entire tang started below surface of stock. Bending to shape wasn't to bad.Now I need to mortise deeper.I need to ck for what's pushing the barrel forward. I had it completely set back. I believe it's the tale end of tang possibly the curve on tang right behind barrel. Little black and see if I can get it right.
