Howdy!

Some time back, I purchased a kit Walker. I just slapped it together and went shooting. I think it's a good gun. But now I would like to basically start over and I need some help. I know about tools, but not about refinishing gun metal. What's the process and what do I need?

One other question and it's about the gun action itself. There is a tad bit of play between the cylinder and the barrel. At times I have found this changes the action and will not line up the cylinder to the barrel. I think the wedge is in there pretty good.

Thanks as always for assistance.

Sounds like you may need to make adjustments to the cylinder pin to take out the play. This would be a job for a qualified gunsmith who understands percussion revolvers.
Metal refinishing would be pretty straight forward polishing with progressively finer git paper used with a wood or metal backing to maintain flat areas and not round off corners.
hope ths helps.

Regards, Dave
