Uberti 36cal 1862 police 6.5in barrel. Completely tuned by Dave Yager of Benson, AZ that goes by Jackrabbit1957 over on the high road forum. Besides the tune I installed a set of slikshot nipples. This revolver has been shot very little and appears in near new shape with no detracting marks or any corrosion.
I have always liked the 1862 police but wanted one that would stand hard use and be easy to clean so I sent it off to Dave. A complete tune includes correcting arbor length, setting B/C gap to .002, installing torsion springs, replacing hand spring with ruger style coil spring, bolt guide, hammer overtravel stop, action shield, cap rake, setting correct timing and packing action with Mobil 1 synthetic grease. What you get back no longer feels like the gun you sent off. It has a solid slick feel and shoots great. Cleaning no longer requires a complete teardown due to the action shield as no fouling gets into the interior. Just remove barrel and clean it and cylinder and wipe down frame and hammer and reassemble. well worth the $260 cost with shipping and the wait.
I am getting too old to do much shooting and decided to move some of my guns so my wife doesn't have to.
I am offering this gun for $550 shipped anywhere in the conus it is legal to ship to. Payment by postal money order or personal check with time to clear.

With a .002 B/C gap how many times can the gun be fired before the cylinder won’t spin anymore from powder residue fouling?
Also, what is a hammer overtravel stop? I haven’t heard of one of these.

As many times as you want to fire it. Cylinder rotation is not impeded by fouling on the cylinder face but fouling on the arbor. The close b/c gap minimizes that fouling significantly. The hammer over travel stop limits the hammer travel to immediatly after full cock eliminating wear when fast cocking as in cowboy matches. Thanks for the questions.

Have the sights been altered to hit POI? Like most Colts they tend to shoot high at typical pistol ranges.
The sights have not been altered correcting the short arbor removes most of the shoot high problem. This one is about 3in high at 15yds now with a center hold.
