Anynone know of a good place to send a stock for duplication to about 90%? or so? Have several rifles that I would like to re-stock in nicer wood. Neither are ones that have off-shelf stocks available like Lyman, etc. Do have source for the wood blank--i.e., Dunlap Wood

thanks

Just in case you don't know how to get in touch with Dick Greensides, owner of Pecatonica River Long Rifle Supply Co, his phone number is:
815-968-1995

Pecatonica River is located in Rockford, Ill.

zonie :)

You might want to google using stock router pantograph build as terms.

If you have a few rifles you want to do and like building things it might be a plan.

Do you know if he does modern stocks also? I have an 1894 lever gun that I'd like to restock. Been looking at some nice blanks on Ebay but didn't know who besides Boyd would duplicate them. Boyd does really sloppy work sometimes, so I'd like to avoid them if possible.

PLink : I only spoke to Mr. Greensides about duplicating a shotgun stock I would like to replace. I assume from his willingness to do it, that he can do half stocks of any kind, and that should include modern gunstocks. However, You should give Dick a call and talk to him about what he can and will do.

Tony, send me an email at [email protected], there is a gentleman who is a member of the Washington Historic Gunmakers Guild who lives in Port orchard who has a duplicator and his peices are very reasonable.
