I was wondering what method everyone uses to attach the strap to the back of the bags that you craft...I mean I know you sew it on, but in what direction in relation to the strap and what not...

Thanks.

I like it Tipped out a bit, maybe 15-20 degrees.
If you go straight the strap will "pucker" for lack of a better word.
A little angle to it and it'll flow from the bag laying smooth across your shoulder.

I run mine in line with the edge of the strap. Sometimes I have sewed a complete square going along the edges and across the bottom & top.It depends on the weight of the leather I use. :idunno:

I do it as Smo does, but be sure to angle the strap ... if you tinker with some rubber cement and 'tack' the bag onto the strap and then position it as you plan top wear it, the angle will come out right and you won't get the dorky- looking little pucker which says "a klutz made me."

:cursing:

Also, i like the straps a bit wider than most- i run to a full two inches ... this gets me better weight distribution (IMO) and it leaves room to put all manner of goodies (patch knife, powder measure, etc.) on the strap where they're readily accessable.

Just one guy's opinion - free and no doubt well worth the price.

make good smoke!

I also angle out slightly and do a square stitching all around. You can also use some small pins through the strap and bag to test the angle.
