Just wondering if you can have too many?

HaHa.........I'd just like to have one really good one! I bought one that barely sparked so the gentleman sent me two more and they were no better. I had a black smith work em over and it helped a tiny bit but not much. So.....still looking.

You need to talk to Skunkskinner. He sent two to me and they are Awsome!!!! They throw sparks every time. I had an old striker and I will now throw it in my pond. His is that much better. The young man I am taking on the turkey hunt is gonna love his striker. My daughter has been using mine and she is 8. She can make it spark really easy.

I just found 3 more in another box of stuff all of them throw a good spark. Now
I need to make up a few fire starting kits.

This is when I miss our late friend Mike Ameling ...
Can you have too many strikers? IMHO....NO! Here are most of mine, still have 2-3 more stuck in camping gear and possible bags. A couple are from Mikey, a couple made by me and 3-4 made by friends. The bottom center one is unique; a combination striker/ball starter/ram rod puller/turn screw made by a good friend. Strikers just seem to multiply....

Nice collection I seem to keep finding them every time I look in a box or a bag of my stuff.

My two favorite I gave away at an event when I needed prizes, oh well I can make more, I just really like them...

Bought one off the Lying Blacksmith at a French and Indian Battle reinacment. This was in Cooks Forest, Pa.Really throws tons of hot sparks. Should last me the rest of my life. But, just in case, I`m going to buy a couple more next year off Him....

Macon I agree I just received a striker from him today and it's a great addition to my collection.

Heck I need to get my first one. Where did you get the one that is a snake or the other that looks like an eagle's head on the end?

The Eagle head striker was forged by friend Bruce LePage; as far as I know he only is forging parts for guns he is building and does mostly engraving now. The snake striker was forged by another friend. PM me and I'll give you his email/phone number if you are interested.
