I need some help from you knowledgable folks.
I bought a Discriminating Generals' Sea Service flintlock pistol, got it from a private party for a song.
Anyway, the Frizzen spring is so thick and stiff I can hardley pull the frizzen back with my hand, and when I fire the dang thing just stays closed. I think I need a 'less strong' spring, but where could I get one for this pistol?
Heres a link to it;
Royal Navy Sea Service Pistol - Long Version

Any direction would be appreciated. :hatsoff:

Guess I'm afraid of filing too much and breaking it, but then... what good is it now, eh?
Might try that.

Wow, Rebel, I had just gone and done that before checking back here!
Must mean I'm learnin' supthin from you all.
It does spark like a mother without the spring!!
