I'v got a wire brush stuck in my 12 ga. barrel. It pulled loose from the holder and is all the way down bore. Any ideas on how to get it out. Its a 12 ga. New Englander.

Maybe you could take a piece of stiff wire, maybe a coathanger wrapped in tape to prevent scratching your barrel and bend a tight hook on the end. Then push it down the barrel past the brush and twist it slightly. This, with any luck, will catch the bristles and pull the brush out. You may need a few attempts to get it all the way out. Good luck.

Find a piece of plastic pipe that will fit just inside the barrel, push it down over the brush. The brush should slide up into the pipe and then you can pull the pipe out. Have not tried this personally, but have heard of others that have done it. Good luck.

Did it pull off or did you unscrew it from the rod bu mistake? If you unscrewed it maybe you can manage to screw it back on. If not, then the wire with a hook or a just under bore size piece of copper tubing. Run it down the barrel until it goes over the brush and then pull it out.

CPVC or PVC pipe is cheap, slick and strong, should be simple to rig a fishing tool on the end to slip over the brush easy, then grip into it when reversed back out.

If it pulled off the threaded end, try taking a smaller (and sturdier) brush, put it on the end of the rod and see if it can grab hold. This trick worked on my TMR.

Enjoy today,

Joel

the copper pipe will do the job, it will slip over the brush with a little forcing, twist it while pushing.

I have tried it and IT WORKS !! The smaller the caliber, the thiner the wall pipe[ or tubing].

Once ya have it out do a websearch for a tornado brush,These will never come off on ya down bore like a regular brush. The wires are looped and dont get hung up when you pull it out..Good luck ..mark
