This was in a box from an estate sale. Appears to be parts to a pistol kit. It’s a smooth bore. Any ideas what pistol it is? No stock was included

This was in a box from an estate sale.
The owner probably had the stock out in the garage to finish, and when the sellers were going through things, they didn't connect the stock with the parts that were safe in the house, and the stock got put somewhere else, or tossed.

That scenario scares me with my "treasures".

I have nothing but pity for those that have to go through my many hiding....... er i mean storing places.
 
that was my very first pistol. bought from an ad in the back of Field and stream magazine when i was about 13yrs old. absolutely the most useless paper weight ever designed.
