If you like engraving, then this is the rifle for you. Roy Carter is a well-known Tennese-based gunsmith and knife maker, and I can't begin to imagine the hours he must have put into it. You can watch his videos on YouTube. It has a 41.5-inch .45 caliber barrel that looks like it was fired just a few times. The set triggers are smooth as silk. No alibi's with this rifle! Please take a look at the pictures because they are amazing. I have $3,000 in the gun. However, I am willing to take a haircut to move it quickly to help pay dental bills. Let's talk...

Curious as to when this rifle was built ? I remember going to Roy's shop on Saturday mornings and seeing all the apprentices he was helping.
A great loss to the trade when he passed away.

This rifle came into my possession a year ago, so I have no idea what its "born on" date is. It's quite the piece... but I need to let it go to pay for dental work... Reasonable offers accepted.

Before a moderator takes you to task. You need to include a card with your screen name and date along with the rifle per forum rules.

Can you let me know lenght of pull of stock and barrel measurment across the flats. Thanks
The barrel is 7/8 across the flats, and the LOP is 13" as measured from the interior curve of the buttstock to the trigger. I am waiting for a couple of lighted arrow knocks to drop down the barrel to provide a view of the bore. (the knocks are .30 caliber and work nicely!) Please let me know if you have any other questions and I will help you out as best as I can...

I'm offering a serious haircut!! I have $3k in the rifle but need to sell ASAP to be able to pay dental bills... Offering now at $2750... I don't know where one could get this quality of rifle at this price point... If you have a proposition let me know. At this point, I'm so flexible you can call me Gumby.

Roy Carter was a well kept secret here in East Tennessee, I was lucky enough to meet him before his death.
He mentored several knife and gun makers. Here's a link to a local news station interview before he died.

Thank you for posting the video. Roy Carter was a real gentleman!

I plan on attending the CLA show here in August with the rifle. It could save you on shipping...
