Congrats! Looks like you guys had a great time in a good looking place. Even did it with a .40!Thanks for sharing. Dan.

I know that there are a lot of doubters and naysayers on here concerning the .40 as a deer caliber. Let me tell you after witnessing first hand a couple of the deer that Allen has killed with his .40, and one that a former co-worker killed with his, I am a believer. That ball may be small but the effects that it has on a deer is devestating. Then to sweeten the pot, if no deer are moving you can start busting bushytails out of the trees with the same rifle. I will have one soon.

What an awesome experience! I'm glad you boys had such a good time and thanks for sharing. I love these types of threads with the great photos. I can just sit back, close my eyes and pretend I was there with you.

The scenery alone would would have made this trip for me. Hell, I am envious of the camp...not likely to get away with that here in Pacific Northwest. This looks like a hunt to remember.

You guys had a great hunt. I'm envious. I've hunted that area but with no success. Had Squire Robin with us one year.
You two are to be congratulated for demonstrating true outdoorsmanship and sportsmanship.
Not my choice, but yer .40 did a number on Old Bucko there.
