Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but here goes.
I came across some really nice suede leather on the cheap that would make nice hunting and shooting bags but am curious about it's use in the early and mid 18th century.
I find references to the late 18th century coming from France but not earlier.
Would it have been previlent in the early and mid 18th century?
