My wife asked me last night what I would like for my Birthday/Christmas. So I was thinking, I really want to build a kit gun, but with little experience and patience, I really don’t know where to start. Can anyone suggest a kit pistol for a true beginner that won’t break the bank?

Big traditions fan here. They're a fine product if you don't mind tweaking things a bit.

Their Kentucky pistols are a good first gun to learn on.

You'll learn a lot. Then you can transfer your newfound skills to one of their Kentucky rifles. Then you'll learn how to make a two piece stock into a one piece stock. Epoxy is our friend.

And if it's your birthday, Midway USA will give you a birthday discount.
