When I pulled this horn out of the bottom of my horn box it looked like it was gonna be solid black and it was very crusty. You can imagine my surprise when i started scraping and got all the colors that you see in the picture. Not what you would call typical but I kinda like it.

Horn- 10in. around the curve
Base plug 3in., Black walnut
hand forged strap ring
Horn applied tip
Antler tip plug

iv looked all over and the past few years i cant find horns or antlers around here at garage sales or anything.

Thank you all for looking.
About the only places I have found any horns has been on the net or traders row somewhere.

yer right Horner. Now all I gotta do is figger out how to getem from his house to mine :idunno:

Real pretty horn. Have you got another pic of the strap ring or could you describe it? I'm wondering if it is like a rounded staple, or does it just enter the base with one end of the ring material.
