Swamp (Damp) Box pictures

I just added some pictures of my Swamp Box to my site. I made it from a Reprint from Rifle Magazine, "Metal Finishes for the Custom Gunsmith by JOHN BIVINS", also added a couple of knife pictures.

Kept mine rather simple, pics are self explanatory. Made from PVC pipe, to cut, fit and glue took about 15 minutes, cost from Wally World was just a few bucks, I use wet towels placed into the bottom, holds several barrels at once, works like a champ.

Great set up, probably even works for you in the winter time. I really like the simplicity. When I built mine the cost of everything is less than the price of a sheet of 3/4 plywood at todays rates.

I really like that we are able to share ideas, what a great place.

Winter is the only time it is necessary to use it. In the summer run a swamp cooler in the shop and with the evaporative effect humidity remains quite high.

BS I checked out the pics of your swamp box and it looks like you spent a lot of time on it. Good job!

I checked out your other pics, and I'd sure like to hear how that mousetrap works!

They climb up the ramp (stick) leaning aginst the side, and as they crawl out on the bottle to get the peanut butter, the bottle spins and down in the water they go. I use windshield washer fluid in the winter.

Works well in the garage, deer camp and sheds. It will hold a bunch of the little buggers!
