Greetings Gentlemen, Do any of you know of anywhere in Eastern Kansas or Western Missouri I could find Swiss powder or Elephant for that matter? High Plains gun shop out side town sells goex but I'd realy like to try some thing different. I should be happy at least someone around here sells real black powder.

I am in Lawrence KS. No insult intended :: I keep hearing of this miraculous Swiss and must try it. I have also heard Elephant has softer fouling than goex, but again this is all second hand knowledge.

I am in Lawrence KS.

Well, that explains the trouble. You live in a hotbed of liberalism, the only county in the state that went for Kerry. Please tell me you don't work at the flaw on the kaw. :blah:

Seriously, you should be able to find something in KC. I have a former room mate that lives in KC on the Missouri side. If you don't have any luck, I'll have him ask around.

I just had a strange thought.
Would Swiss powder be considered neutral?
Haw, Haw, Haw. :blah: :blah:

Graf & Sons in Mexico, Missouri carries Swiss powder in all granulations. They will send you as few as 4 pounds and you can mix and match if you prefer.

I think you would be much better off sticking with Goex or going to Scheutzin or Swiss. Elephant is terrible as far as fouling and getting it to ignite, besides the fact thatr they are now out of business, and whatever powder is left id it.

Whiterash078,I'll 2nd the motion that elephant is kinda dirty plus they quit makin' it.Swiss is hard to find in these parts but I have heard it is good powder.Graff and Sons are good to deal with but the hazard fees get a bit stiff.

Ok, no elephant then. I'll just try the swiss. I have heard to use A lot less of the stuff about 20% less is this correct?
