See my thread.

Goex Express is visually identical to Swiss - i.e. the granules are "shiny".

THis has been explained to me in two ways. One explains why Swiss & Express are supposed to be "hotter" the other doesn't.

The "Hot" explanation is that a side effect of the "newer" manufacturing process creates a slight KNO3 "glaze" on the grains, increasing oxidation and decreasing dust fouling.

The other explanation is that the glaze is a graphite polish coat.

Can't say which is true.
