I have for sale a gently used T/C .45 cal. patriot pistol. Barrel in excellent condition with no rust or pits. The stock shows normal use with no cracks or large dings. The barrel wedge pin is an aftermarket wedge pin and is captured, the ram rod is original to the gun. I forgot to add a picture of the but plate that a previous owner had his initials engraved. Also payment by personal check or money order.

Asking $450.00 shipped with insurance to any US zip code.

The TC Patriot pistol is one of the best percussion pistols ever made, worldwide.
When it was introduced to the muzzleloading community in Europe way back around 1980, it soon became a must have for every serious competition shooter.
However, after every serious competition shooter in Germany had got himself one, it was banned from championship matches in Germany by the national shooting association DSB, as it was found to be not a 1:1 copy of an blackpowder era original. Especially the sights on the Patriot, its double triggers were declared no-nos. In addition, attendants of championship matches needed to pass the locks on their weapons through an inspection for any spring coils, as these were also deemed "not period correct".
As a consequence, I (like many others) replaced the locks on their TC Hawken rifles by drop-in locks equipped with (period-correct) leaf springs, such as ones offered by L&R.
However, any attempts to convert TC Patriots to our National standards were thwarted, anyway, sidelock percussion pistols (like the Patriot) were soon found out to be inferior to underhammer pistols, who quickly became standard in the 90ties.
I would gladly sell my TC Patriot (prime condition, sitting in a safe since 1985) for 400 Euros (or $) to anybody who would come by to pick it up, e.g. at the Frankfurt Int. airport. Sorry no shipping abroad.

Too far for me any pics ?

When I took it from the strongbox after quite a few years, I found that I had replaced the factory rear sight (which did not comply with national match rules) for a fixed iron sight.
I also replaced the wooden ramrod with one made from brass (stronger, safer).
The pistol was admitted to a regional championship (documented by the blue sticker) in the year of 1985, I haven't used it since.) Right above this blue sticker on the barrel you'll find the proof marks of the Beschussamt - any firearm brought to use in Germany needs to pass a proof shooting by the Beschussamt.
By the way it's also a national law to have any replacement barrel proof fired at the Beschussamt, upon importing it from a country which doesn't know this practice.

Hi, Grew up in Yarmouth. I shot a borrowed Patriot at Major Waldrons, Country Pond and there was an employee of TC that hosted shoots at his farm in Southern Me, can't recall his name or the location. I tried to purchase the pistol to no avail. Finally found one online last year. It was more expensive.

Enjoy your pistol. This was mid to late 70's
