Hi guy's i been looking hight and low for a 54 Cal T/C Hawken Caplock Barrel, just like the one that came on my T/C Hawken it is 28" long and has 1 in 48 Twist. Now i can find all kinds from GM and Track of the Wolf. But none are like the one that came on the gun,They are Longer and /or Faster Twist Rate. But none or just like the one that came on it, and that is what i want
[Must have really]
Not even T/C carry's it so i was told over the phone, even tho i found that hard to beleave.
So any one here got any thought's on where i can get one already made up to just drop in and go?
Thanks

You can also find T/C barrels on ebay just about all the time, although a .54 cal Hawken barrel might be a bit tougher to find. A T/C Renegade barrel will fit but it will have blued ramrod thimbles instead of brass and would be 2" shorter. You could always replace the thimbles but you can't add 2" to the barrel. This would be the cheapest solution. I happen to have a like new .54 cal Renegade barrel that I would part with because I'd like to replace it with the longer GM barrel with the slower ball twist.

Your other alternative is to contact Fox Ridge Outfitters, as Old Bullet said. They do show that they have the 28" .54 cal Hawken barrels in 1:48" twist, as well as the 30" 1:66" twist barrels. You can even get a 28" .58 cal barrel in 1:48" twist if you want to go that way.

Here's a link to their web page with the replacement barrels: http://www.foxridgeoutfitters.com/detail.cfm?section=7&subsection=34,43&product=4356

You might just call Fox Ridge at 1-800-243-4570...they are actually part of Thompson/Center, right there at their plant site in New Hampshire

Ascessory barrels,

1-48 twist 28" 54 cal is available for $175.00 list price

For some reason posting the complete link does not work?

Hope this helps,

Tony

Thanks All
I call Fox Ridge Outfitters today and they said they can fix me up with what i wanted, said it would have a 2 to 4 week waithing period, but they have it.
Again Thanks for thr info Guy's

For some reason, when you try to post a link with a long adress to this board, it abbreviates it so it doesn't work right. You can follow the directions Mad Professor gave to find the barrels but it sounds like T/C already got you fixed up. Enjoy!

Yes you can get one for it with a 1 in 66 twist rate. But it is 30" long, now if they offer one at 28" long, that is the way i would go.But being weak in my left arm from a stroke back a year and a half ago.A longer barrel is just a bit to much for me.But thanks for the info
