Been using it since late 70's and yes use Pyrodex also, same to renegade and no problems. We should all use what ever we want.

Good patch lube, clean well after use, and don't use it for rust prevention. Smells good...
Gave Bore Butter a try years ago. Worked OK as a patch lube at moderate temperatures, but temperature stability was lacking. Too thick in the cold, too runny when warm. That original tube I acquired eventually solidified much like silicone grease does a few years after opening…..I personally think it’s OK in limited conditions, but there are far better alternatives.
