The white mountain carbines were a light rifle, not intended for larger calibers. Which is why you cann't find them in 54 caliber.
 
My caplock WMC is .54.
If my failing memory is correct, I think they offered it in flint.
 
WMC was introduced in 1989 in .50 cap or flint. In 1991 the cap version was offered in .45, .50 and .54 but the flint in only listed in .50. I am missing a few catalogs from the mid 90's, not sure if there were additional flint offerings before it was discontinued but I suspect not.
