I tried the battery trick the other day. I can’t get enough light down the barrel when my camera is in position to see down the barrel and get the picture. Any suggestions?

I have a penlight (I'm a nurse, we use these to look into various orifices😉). It easily fits into a .50 or larger bore. Just turn it on and drop it in. Works like a champ!

A suggestion with the fishing bobber lights. Super glue a length of fine monofilament to the unlit end of the light and you can move it up and down the bore and stop it wherever you wish. Frees both hands to take the picture and with the light not glaring straight up its easier to tell what you are looking at. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08922S9L5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
