I do know it's possible. My Renegade has been switched over to flintlock, re-bored, and set into a full stock.
I am sure that I am over-simplifying the process, but you need a new lock and either fill the hole from your drum with a screw, re-drill, tap, and install a vent liner, or a new breach plug/lock combo. A short search of the forum should answer your question.

Swapping the locks out is easy.
I've seen threads in the past showing the side of the TC breech milled out and converted to flint. And there are folks that re-breech barrels. Has anyone here had a percussion TC or GM barrel converted to flint?

Yeah Goodcheer, I had this done to my Renegade back in the early 90's...the gunsmith took my flint and drilled out the hole to accept a bigger touch hole liner that matched the thread on a powder drum for percussion...I can switch between the two systems in a mater of minutes! But there is the rub, mine started from flint so there was only the touch hole liner on the side of the barrel DDH has a percussion so it would be cheaper for him to just add a new breech plug and buy a lock...I would see what the cost of the parts and gunsmithing would be cause he should be able to get what he needs cheaper at a pawn shop or ebay? Its easier to find a hawkens flintlock barrel in 54 theres been a few the past month on ebay. If ya get the barrel its easy pull pin swap barrel, unscrew lock bolt replace lock dont deal.

Agree. No gunsmithing needed and you have two guns in one by merely switching lock/barrel. Probably not much difference in cost either.
A loss - Dennis did good work, and at a very reasonable price.

It's easy to convert a TC Hawken or Renegade from flint to cap, but not from cap to flint. The reason is a caplock barrel is breeched with a snailed breech. There have been people mill and weld, in order to convert, but it doesn't look practical or, look right.
Swaping the locks, should not be any problem. Not every lock is exactly perfect, but are usally pretty close. And, even very from one rifle to another, from the factory.
However, the barrel is a different story. You have two choices, buy a breech plug from someplace like Track of the Wolf, and hope you can unscrew the factory one. Then you'll have to fit and bend the tang to fit the stock, drill the tang hole, fit the breech plug to the original barrel, finish it to closly match the original finish, locate and drill and tap the flash hole in the appropriate location, and install a liner.
The other option would be to buy a used TC flintlock barrel and lock and put them in your stock.
