I recently picked up a fast twist 1:20 white mountain carbine . I picked up some 320 gr t/c maxi balls . I have on hand some goex 3f powder. Any load recommendations ?

Read the owners Manual first,, if you didn't get one with the rifle,,, they are on line!!!!!!

i never used 3f in mine just 2f and i always used 90grs. i tried prb's but the rifle didn't like them no matter the powder load. the r.e.a.l and maxi bullets worked but i never got them to group better than 6 inches at long range. i just used stuff you can't discuss on this forum but the stuff i did use had pin point accuracy. Going to shoot it today along with the .54 renegade. i'm going to try some .495 balls with some thinner patches in the wmc just to see if i can get it to group, will start with a 50 gr.load of ffg then fffg, if it works with either grain i plan on upping the load till it starts getting wild. i will post back tonight and tell how it works out for the wmc.

They probably don't have a manual specific to your but rather a generic manual for all M/Ls or maybe specific to sidelocks. I got one for my T/C Scout a few years back but it seems they don't have that one online either now. It has the same twist as yours.

Mine shoots good with 70 grains 2f Goex, 370 maxiball, and a felt wad over powder.

I can verify for 100% certainty that a paper patched Lee C-501-440-RF bullet aka 500 S&W bullet will shoot very well in that gun. This is a friend of mine with his.
