I bought a used Grand Rifle last year, mostly because it was a custom rifle, and was a left hand 54 flinter! Mine is an early gun and was the result of the collaboration of G.L. Jones and Jack Garner. It is signed on the top barrel flat "Jones and Garner Grand Rifle", the stock and furniture is nicely carved and engraved. The rear sight is a 5-3/4" long base adjustable semi-buckhorn, the serial number 2X engraved on the tang. The rifle has a 42" long barrel and a sliding patch box cover. All in all, I am very pleased with the rifle. And yes, I do shoot it. Emery
