tang/peep sight photo request

I'm looking for photos of rear tang/peep sights people have built for their guns.

I'm trying to come up with a peep for my squirrel rifle and was thinking a lollipop would work best for shooting, but the thought of a long post on the tang that could get bumped has got me concerned.

So any long straps, or tang mounted peeps or similar would be greatly appreciated.

Ugly sights welcome.

My quest now is to see if I can bring it back towards the old eyeball any without a lot of hastle.

World of difference.

Given the carbine length 34" barrel, handles like a dream and I should be able to mount the peep right at the breech of the tang.

I would think you'd have to remove your rear sight to use a peep, otherwise you'll be shooting over the open rear sight and shoot too high. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

I think peeps are fine for target shooting but do take some set-up resources.

If done correctly (for my needs) all three sights are lined up, this allows the rear sight to become "crisp", that said it's only useful for load development/target work really unless you drift out the rear sight.

I made a sight up and did a write up on it here on the forum but trashed the pics, this was back in 2011.

I'll try and dig up a picture.

There is no rear sight.

Scratch made build.

Barrel is as virgin and pure as a northwoods snow fall.

Gotta love a 42 in sight radius...no sight dove tail.on this build. 100 yard dial in Yesterday..
Oxpho-blue for side flats-Laural Mountain rust blue for top flat= zero snow glare.
