Tapered ramrod tips

A few years ago I made one from sheet steel and brazed it like the old guys, brazed in the end and drilled and tapped it. And they are a real pain in the . So I needed another one and this time I turned it on the lathe, alot easier. The one one the rod is the sheet steel one. Enjoy!

Interesting. When you say "tapped" are you indicating you can put a jag on the end for cleaning/swabbing the bore?

That is right tapped to 10-32 for all your jags, worms and scrapers.

Those are nice, jackley. I know the rolled and brazen ones are more authentic, but I'm thinking those turned ou of solid stock may be stronger, for retaining the threaded accessories.

Do you still make the seamed ones? Or know anyone who does? I can only find turned repros- one of you metal working guys wanna help this tailor out!
