Tapered Barrels, 71 Caliber, 1:36 twist. From Doc Whites estate. I'm sure he had a plan for these. Picture says 70 caliber. Doc's inventory said 71 caliber. A 0.715 ball won't fit down the barrel. 26" long x 1.23" taper to 1.05".

Nice barrels
The 1 in 36' rate of twist replicates what was commonly used in original big bore English & European rifles & produce excellent round ball accuracy.
The 1 in 23 rate of twist barrel would be ideal for big bore pistol applications.

Thanks, I found another pair of muzzleloaders I couldn't live without. So I best back away from more projects. But dang, a 70 caliber rifle would fix anything on this continent.
