RB,

A .40rb is around 90gr.

I've always (personal opinion) been leery of a light .40grn ball for deer hunting...but a pair of those at 50yds would get it done.

I shure hope you guys are squinting real hard at those instructions and noting the warnings about the need to have the balls rammed so there is absolutly NO space between the balls when the gun is loaded.

Even a little gap will fool your gun into thinking the barrel has an obstruction which may blow it up. :(

VERY TRUE! Even paper thin will bulge a great barrel, and to be on the sfe side use at least 2f, or 1 if your getting crazy with this. A person who loads " new ammo" like for "real guns" :rotf: can explain it better than I , more weight you load the slower powder you use. Like you wouldnt use m-16 powder in a 12g, burns to fast, maybe out the side of the barrel or in your face. :( BP is much more forgiveing but not when it comes to NOT seating your ball tight. Fred :hatsoff:

I wouldn't like to try two .62 cal 322g balls + 90 grains. Let alone doing your 7ga loading.

Liability may be why TC withdrew the load listing.

On the other hand however, it's really no different than the normal regimen of having to ensure projectiles are seated all the way down...I've personally shot those double .440s that way, it's really no big deal...surprisingly accurate at the 50yds I tested it too.

I belive John T use's 5 ball's in the "stake bust" he builds barrels so should know if it's at least safe. Fred :hatsoff: But "ouch" :rotf:
