If anyone shoots the T/C 58 cal maxiball or has one laying around, can you please tell me the diameter of the maxiball?

I recall the top band of the maxiball was slightly larger than the lower band, so it didn't slip down the barrel like the maxi- hunter version.

thnx

I just did it, finding a little variation, so did the whole box of 15. Near as I can tell with a marginal mike, the base average is between .581 and .582 and top band average is somewhere between .584 and .585.

Without really scrubbing down the stray lube (lots) and moving to a better mike, I wouldn't take those numbers to the bank. But at least it shows there is in fact a difference of .003 or .004.

Haven't shot any in about a year, but I do seem to recall them stopping at the top band when seating with thumb pressure, requiring a short starter for a little extra pressure to go below that.
