I've got an old TC in the shop. Wondered if there's a serial number listing anywhere. I don't know that much about TC. I do know it's not the little seneca. It's brass mounted. I would think it's what they always called a hawkin. They only reason I ask is that the number is in the 2400s. Should go back a ways.

The serial # used to be on the barrel. The first Hawkens out, had 12 land rifling, and was very inaccurate.

Someone else said the first ones had Sharon and Douglas barrels. I have a 1972 Black Powder Digest and the chapter on the fairly new Hawken did show some poor accuracy which put me off buying one back then.

Don't bother with calling T/C to date your Hawken as they haven't any records of production runs. If they ever existed they were supposedly burned up in the big fire a while back.
