I know Track has steel trigger guard and buttplate. I thought somebody used to make a steel cap box to replace the brass one. I've got a 1 inch bad barrel that I intend to replace with a custom and brown everything. Would rather have steel than brass but need to replace that durn cap box. Any ideas?

Seems the Hawken Shoppe in St Louis made cast steel replacement parts for the TC hawken. Been years. May not be in business any longer.

If you can't find a steel replacment look at some of the more authenic Hawken steel patchboxs at some of the parts dealers!

The Hawken Shop is a few miles outside Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island in Washington state. On Monkey Hill Road, as a matter of fact. I stopped by there last spring and picked up a couple of the steel sets for TC Hawkens. Haven't worked with them yet, but they're quality castings. Patch box is not included. Good folks to work with FTF, but I've never dealt with them online.

Thanks for the help. Sounds like I'll just have to find a steel patchbox to cover the inlet and go with that. Appreciate your time and effort on this matter.

TOW has six Hawken patch boxes on this page. They need finished, but they're quality pieces.

Hey Kirrmeister- If you're asking me whether the Hawken shop ships outside the US, I don't know. They're really great folks to deal with, so I'd drop them an email and ask.
