I've got a .50 TC Hawkins flinter and have been wondering when it was made. From what I understand, they are no longer made.

I'm wondering when they started, and ended, making them, and possibly what the range of serial numbers might be for the flinters.

Your post caught me like a magnet, and now I'm wondering the same thing about mine. I also have a .50 TC Hawkins flinter. I got mine at a gun show. The guy had 4 TC Hawkins on his rack, three cap and one flint. When I left his table he only had 3 cap Hawkins left, I had the flint. I paid $150.00 for it. I go to a lot of gunshows here in town and I see a lot of Hawkins, but the flintlock Hawkin I bought has so far been the only flinter I've seen.

I looked online for it but didn't find that, I found several for sale, but no history behind it. I always thought TC still made the flintlock Hawkin, but sold more of the percussions. I'll still keep looking to see if and what I find. If I do find something and no one else has posted it, I'll put it on here. The guns were made by a major manufacturer, so there's records of it somewhere.

This might help with some frame of reference.
I bought a TC Hawken .45 in 1970, still have it but use two different target barrels. Haven't used the original since about 1976. The serial number on the original barrel is 20595. They sold many very quickly at that time. I have seen serial numbers with only four digits.
