Just finished shooting my NE 50 Cal this morning.
I was shooting 80 Gr of 2F KIK powder with an O/P wad. A 490 RB with a spit patch of .018 thickness. CCI # 11 percussion caps.
At a 50 yrd 6 inch target I was able to keep them in a 3 inch circle.
Don't really like the sights as to the fact that the beaded front sight completely covers the 6 inch target at 50 yds.
Will take this as a backup gun to my 58 Cal rifle come deer season.

I'm happy with 10 shots within 4" at 50 meters. To make it easier to hit the center x : I set the sights so the top edge of the front bead & rear sight are at bottom edge of orange x.

The NE .50 cal with PRB's shoots as good or better than my lever action .30-30 :applause: .58 cal is on my wish list. Is it a CVA Mountain rifle ?
