Yeah, that is a good observation about head to head with top target pistols. My Patriot won't shoot with the Yazel percussion I have, at least in my hands.Non the less I think it a fine pistol and enjoy shooting it. I'll hold on to it and pass it on when I don't need it anymore. MD

The ability of a firearm to hit a target as small as a tack is, in fact, the linguistic origin of the phrase "tack driver", a common description used for very accurate firearms.

As far as T/C Patriots being used in competition, it's probably not a valid argument to compare one with custom made or highly modified accurized pistols. I think the point was to describe it, fairly I think, as an extremely accurate production gun.

Keep looking and I bet one will come your way. Many times the reason we don't notice them is simply because we are not looking for that particular item at a given time. Ever notice how when you buy a new or different vehicle that you see them in traffic and never really did before? I'm still keeping my eyes peeled for a .36 caliber gun. MD

Anyone have an idea of what a good used one should go for now days? I think I paid 275.00 for mine about four years ago. I wasn't really sure that was a good price but wanted it an knew they weren't being made anymore. MD

Wow, that much,I can't seem to get over the ever advancing cost of things! My wife continually reminds me of this in my glass business. MD

You might consider buying just a .36 cal barrel for the Patriot.

The Patriot is the first muzzleloader my daughter has ever fired. On her second shot, she was hitting the target. She was nailing targets out to about 75 yards with no problem after only one or two initial misses. She was crazy about that pistol.
